About the show
This abridged staged production of George
Frederic Handel’s Alcina is designed to
introduce young people and the young-atheart
to the Baroque opera form in a lively,
approachable way. The production features
a newly composed narrative appropriate for
children, and will include a full period orchestra,
a chorus made up of SHA, St. X, and Trinity
students, and a cast of professional singers/
actors/dancers from around the country.
